GHOSTWEIGHT

Release date: June 11, 2025

Ghostweight Album Notes

I didn’t mean to make a thing.

Just gathered what drifted—

a phrase hummed on the road,

a line scribbled blind

after some dream forgot its end.

Not pieces, not yet.

Just fragments:

breath,

scratch,

a door creaking

where no one entered.

They began to layer—

not by will,

but by water’s logic,

the way branches knot

in the crook of a stream.

Grief doesn’t speak in stories.

It mutters.

Settles like ash

on the back of your hand.

You don’t see it

until light shifts.

Sometimes it’s

an empty chair,

a name the land still mouths

though no one answers.

A voice you dreamed in

long after forgetting the face.

This wasn’t a record.

It was a reverent mess.

A stitched hum,

a loop of breath

left uncut.

I didn’t fix it.

I listened.

Let the silence sing

what it knew

when I couldn’t.

Faith, if anything,

was in the gathering.

The making of space

for what had no home—

only weight,

only echo.
