Holding What Passes
Most things don’t stay.
The snowball thaws.
The shape softens.
The photograph is all
that remains.
But maybe the gift
was not in the lasting.
Maybe it was in
the way you leaned in—
how you noticed
the cracks, the way light
moved through what
was melting.

Maybe love was never
meant to be permanent.
Only true.
