The Moment You Stop Waiting
You don’t even hear
the shift— not at first.
It’s the sound of your own
name spoken without
a task attached.
It’s the breath between
calendar squares, the space
where no one needs you
but you still matter.
Somewhere between
the fourth scroll of Facebook
and the end of the to-do
list you remember:
the best hours
are unmarked,
unobligated,
yours.
