The Teacher in the Kitchen
Today, the teacher taught
from her kitchen.
She balanced a laptop
on a fruit bowl, her cat
snored on the windowsill,
and behind her, a calendar
still said March.
We watched her
laugh at a joke
in the chat.
We saw the morning light
catch in her mug—
a chip on the handle,
the words: You Matter.
She didn’t need
a green screen.
She was already
human.
