Unnoticed Good
Be thankful for what’s unseen—
for the kindness done in secret,
for the prayers prayed in closets,
for the good that goes unnoticed
because no one was looking.
Gratitude isn’t for show—
it’s a root beneath frost,
a seed buried deep,
waiting to break ground.
Be thankful when no one applauds—
when the gift falls in shadows,
when the right hand forgets
what the left one has given.
God sees in secret—
the meal shared without boasting,
the coat left at a stranger’s door.
Gratitude, real and quiet,
grows best in dark soil.
