Teacher Agency
The new teacher still feels
like she’s pretending.
She checks the boxes, writes
the objectives, follows the script.
But then, a student asks a question
that isn’t in the book—
and she answers, not
with a rule, but with a story.
And something cracks open. It might be
her real teaching, finally waking up.
